See The Elephant is excited to host visiting artist Gennarose on her United States tour.

Join us for an enchanting event of a live poetry reading from her recently published The Lumberjack’s Dove accompanied by a shadow play. Gennarose’s performance will be followed by a Q&A with the author/artist.

Special performances by MerryGold (Music), Afton Parker (Poetry Performance), & Gavin Sellers.

Only 30 seats available for this one-night performance in Placerville. Tickets are $15 in advance & at the door (Please purchase ahead to reserve your seat).

EDHS Studio 81 & See The Elephant present, “Cloront” an original play, created by the Collaborative Playwriting class of 2018-19.

When Jane wakes up and finds herself in an unfamiliar place, her first instinct is to follow the rules and avoid confrontation. What seems like a typical high school day begins to transform into something that forces Jane face to face with the things she is most afraid of.

Cloront, a teenage dream play, that follows the character Jane as she travels thru a labyrinth of social pressures, ideas of success, deciphering what is truly meaningful to her.

Listen to students present their play publicly for the first time and stay for a Q&A with the playwrights and teaching artists. This event is free to the public.
